Sister, you are being too hard on yourself. You can't do it all. You are amazing, but it's a wonder you are still standing. If you don't let some of this go, you are going to end up sick, or bitter, or both. Trust me, I've been there. Time to let some of this go.

What's that you say? You can't let anything go? You have so much to do and so many people who depend on you?

What about YOU? Just like on the airplane, if you don't put your oxygen mask on first, you aren't going to be able to save anyone else, including yourself.

Consider trying one or all (I prefer all, I'm just being honest, I really want you to feel better) of these tips:

1. In the next 24 hours, put something on your calendar that is just for you, because you will enjoy it. It can be 10 minutes or an entire day. If you haven't done something for yourself in so long that you forget what you even enjoy, here are some suggestions.

2. Right now, this minute, think of 3 things you are grateful for. They can be tiny (my salad had roasted almonds on it, my favorite) or huge (I am healthy and can choose to change my life if I want to). Take a full minute to breathe in all 3, and really appreciate them.

3. Feed your brain some positive thoughts. Look at these inspiring quotes. Pick one and make it the wallpaper on your phone so that every time you pick it up, you see the message and think positive.

4. Insist on quiet time. I once read that meditation guru Deepak Chopra meditates for 2 hours a day. Deepak, that is ridiculous, and you are clearly not a mother, but good for you. I'm not asking you to be a guru like he is - try 5 minutes to start. Two quick ways to get started are to download the Breethe app and try one of their many 5 minute meditations, or try square breathing for a minute. Sometimes your brain needs a blank space, a nice white page of silence, in order to calm down.

5. Clean up that to do list. Cross some of it off entirely. Ask for help. Pay for help. Here are the instructions for how to do that.

I hope you try all of them. I would also love to talk with you 1 on 1 to bring some relief to your life as soon as possible. Set up a FREE 20 minute session with me and we'll chat about how to do that.

I see you, overwhelmed Mom. You're doing the best you can. Take care of you and really try the tips above. XOXO
